Everlane Day Glove Review (UPDATED JAN 2019)

orIt’s no secret that I’ve got an obsession with Everlane, especially with their denim and shoes. It doesn’t hurt that their shoes are Italian-made haha! Their Day Gove marks my FOURTH pair of Everlane shoes; Day Mules, The Boss Boot, Day Heel and not Day Gloves. These Day Gloves go on sale on April 23 but they were kind enough to send these to me beforehand for a test run.

I’ve worn these puppies for about 5 times now and I must say I am very impressed! Read on for my full review and there is a link at the bottom for you to shop these before everyone else!

What I love about these flats:

  1. Comfort: comfort is the number 1 thing about Day Glove. I must say when I was simply looking at the photos of the shoes (without trying them on), I didn’t think they’d be comfortable. They look like they’d be restricting for my slightly wide feet. I’ll confess that I’ve got a little bunion situation on my left foot so upon looking at the photos, I had doubts. After receiving them in the mail and trying them on, oh man, were they comfortable! The Day Glove is made with buttery soft Italian leather in Italy. The most important thing is that the toe of the shoe is not restricting AT ALL!! I can easily walk 10k+ steps in these. Also, no breaking-in required. They were soft right out of the box. As I wear them, the shoes would mold into the shape of my feet and become, you guessed it, gloves.
  2. Style: The Day Glove looks SO much better on than they are in photos. Photos don’t do them justice. They have cushioned insole at the bottom for both comfort and that little oomph of height. The thing I LOVE the most about the style is how they elongate my legs! ahhh!! I’m down for anything that’s comfortable and make me look slimmer. I think it’s the high vamp that is giving extra inches to my legs. The Day Glove is also a pair of very dynamic flats – they honestly can be paired with anything from denim shorts, skinny jeans, culottes to skirts.
  3. Price: Well, the price is a tricky thing for us Canadians. I think the price point of $110 is super good for my lucky American readers who don’t have to consider duty and exchange rate. The high Canadian price point may become a concern for my Canadian babes, but like I said, give them a try! You will be surprised.

What I don’t like about these flats:

I wish there were more colours to choose from, like the Day Heels. Knowing Everlane, they will most likely produce these in more colors for winter/fall. If you are not sure which colour to get, go for the WHITE!! They look so chic with spring and summer outfits hehe..

Now, let’s look at some photos. I didn’t photograph them when they were brand new. I couldn’t wait and had to try them on right away. When I shot them, I’ve worn them about 2-3 times.

UPDATE (JAN 2019):

Now I’ve worn the flats for more than half a year. I’d like to add more notes to help you decide if this is right for you. The cushioned insole I mentioned earlier provides enough support to me. I can easily walk 10k+ steps in these. However, for people who need more support, the Day Glove cushion might not be enough and you’d have to add more support yourself. There was also a period of time where the flats gave me a minor blister. Once the flats are broken in, they are seriously comfortable. I’ve taken these on numerous trips with me and I am getting a second pair!!

That’s such a pretty pair! I love the immaculate white color, it’s super elegant. The simple and comfy style makes it really versatile too. Absolutely love how you styled it with blue jeans, white tee, and grey cardigan dear. Lovely casual street look.

I bought a pair as well from Canada and they’re on their way. Agreed- they come at a very very steep price for Canadians… basically 200 CAD compared to 110 USD.
