I started paying serious attention to my skin after becoming a mom. Sleep deprivation is no joke and it really leaves a mark on our tired mama face.
I got the NuFace Mini Facial Toning Device at the beginning of this year hoping to make my skin look better. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I am here to answer all your questions.
What is a Nuface Mini Facial Toning Device?
A handheld facial toning device that is clinically tested for improved facial contour, skin tone, and reduction of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Based on the same advanced microcurrent technology featured in the NuFACE Trinity, the Mini Facial Toning Device has been clinically tested and shown to improve facial contour, tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I copied all that from the Sephora website btw. They say it much better than I do.
Why did I get the Mini Facial Toning Device instead of the Trinity?
I really wanted to get professional facial treatments, but since we were/are in the midst of a pandemic, I didn’t feel comfortable getting such intimate treatments. I need a machine to help with my tired-looking skin at home. Though Trinity has more functions and the ability to use different attachements (such as the eye and lips enhancer), I don’t need those. The Mini device has everything I need!
Does the NuFace Mini Toning Device work?
YES, it does! BUT, you have to actually USE it. Like any other beauty tools, you have to commit your time to it. The good news is the treatments don’t take long.
How did I use the machine to help with my skin?
For the first 60 days, I use the machine 5 days in a week. I spend only 2-3 mins for my whole face. I stayed on the lowest setting with an occasional medium setting. After the initial 60 days, I use the machine 2-3 days a week for maintenance purposes.
Does it hurt?
You gotta use a gel primer with the machine. Applying the primer over the area that you are doing the treatment. There were times when I glide the machine over a spot that I missed applying the primer or when I glide over hair, I felt a tingling sensation. The feeling wasn’t strong and it went away within a couple of seconds.
Is it worth the money?
IMO, yes. The price of a mini NuFace is roughly the same as a bottle of a high-end anti-aging serum. With the device, you can actually see the results at the end of the treatments. Can you see immediate results from a bottle of a serum? Sometimes, but most likely not.
Can I see the difference in my skin?
Yes I can! Simply put, I look less tired and look like I had a good night of sleep, when in reality Livvy woke up at 2am wanting to cuddle. I also asked Johnny if he could see any difference in my skin and he actually said yes (I am so surprised!).
If you are thinking about getting a NuFace device, go for it! Wait until the next Sephora Sale for the best price. Almost 6 months in and I am still using mine!
