Guyyss, I am so excited to announce that you can now find Biossance products at Sephora stores in Canada! Thinking back, I first learned about Biossance from Wendy’s post where she talked about their powerful 100% plant-based squalane and sustainable skincare products. I was hooked right away.
I was fortunate to have tried the Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel and Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil. Here are my mini reviews:
First of all, I LOVE the pump. I love anything pumped ahah. It makes the product so clean to apply and because the product is pumped, it minimizes the chances of contamination. This eye gel is very lightweight – you won’t feel anything after the skin absorbed in a few minutes. I layer this eye gel under my eye cream at night (wait a couple minutes before applying eye cream to avoid pilling). The eye gel helps with my puffiness more so than dark circles. If you have puffy eyes, give this a try!
Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil:
I’ve always been intrigued by face oils. I do have oily skin but contrary to popular belief, it’s the best to fight oil with oil. I find this rose oil brightens my skin and also improves my skin texture. Also, I LOVE THE SMELL!! AHHhhhh the rose smell. Feels like I am at a spa. This Vitamin C Rose Oil is Biossance’s best seller and has a 4.5 star on Sephora! If you are thinking of adding an oil to your skincare routine, you can drop by a Sephora store to test it out.
About Squalane
You might notice Squalane in in both of these product’s name. Squalane is a type of molecule that is super moisturizing. Our body actually produces a form of Squalane ourselves but as we grow older, we produce less and less. Traditionally, Squalane is harvested from shark livers (poor sharks…). But Biossance has found a way to produce 100% plant-based Squalane that is both sustainable and effective, and Squalane is used in all of their product to give them the moisturizing power.
By the way, I was doing research on Biossance for this post and read that they’ve blacklisted 2000 ingredients that are potentially harmful to us. I hope none of my other skincare products have any of the 2000 ingredients there!
This post was produced in collaboration with Biossance and I received products in exchange for producing this content. As always all opinions are my own.
Great post.
Thanks for sharing.
